Privacy Policy

Last updated 1 September 2026

GoSolar PH (“we”) is an independent research site that helps homeowners in the Philippines understand solar and get quotes from installers. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and what you can switch off. It follows theData Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).

We are not a solar installer and we do not sell equipment. We make money two ways, both disclosed on our methodology page: referral fees from installers we match you with, and affiliate commissions on some backup-power product links.

What we collect when you request a quote

When you submit the quote form we collect your name, contact details, city, estimated monthly electric bill, roof type, and any message you write. Alongside that submission we also store the page you submitted from, your browser user agent, and a one-way hash of your IP address. The hash exists to catch duplicate and abusive submissions; it is not reversible and we cannot recover your IP address from it.

We use this to connect you with solar installers who can quote your job.By ticking the consent box you agree that we may share these details with up to three GoSolar PH-vetted installer partners so they can contact you. We do not sell your details to anyone else, and we do not pass them to advertisers.

Cookies and similar technologies

Nothing that identifies you is stored on your device until you choose it. On your first visit you get a banner with Accept and Decline. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage and applies until you change it, which you can do at any time using theCookie settings link in the footer.

If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and where they arrive from. This is aggregate measurement. We do not use it to identify individuals, and we have no advertising audiences built from it.

If you decline, Google Analytics still loads but is instructed to store nothing on your device and to send only anonymous, cookieless signals. Nothing is written to your browser.

Third-party advertising

We may show ads supplied by third-party vendors in future. When that happens, the following applies, and it applies from the moment any ad code goes live:

Declining on our cookie banner also withholds consent for advertising cookies, so no ad personalisation storage is set for you regardless of what runs on the page.

Affiliate links

Some product links on our backup power pages are affiliate links, marked with rel="sponsored". If you click one and buy something, the retailer may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. Those retailers set their own cookies once you land on their site, under their own privacy policies, not ours.

How long we keep things

Quote requests are kept only as long as needed to serve your enquiry and to answer questions from you or an installer about it afterwards. Analytics data is retained on Google's default schedule for our property. Your cookie choice stays in your browser until you clear your browsing data or change it.

Your rights under RA 10173

You have the right to be informed, to object, to access, to correct, to erasure or blocking, to damages, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, emailprivacy@gosolarph.com and tell us which right you are exercising. We will respond within a reasonable period. You may also complain to the National Privacy Commission atprivacy.gov.ph.

To withdraw consent for installer contact after you have submitted a form, email us and we will remove you and tell the installers we already passed your details to.

Children

This site is aimed at homeowners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes to advertising or tracking will re-prompt the cookie banner.
