Rocket is a real, widely available brand in the Philippines — just not for what this review category covers. Rocket is made by Sebang Global Battery, Korea’s largest battery manufacturer, and Rocket-branded automotive batteries are sold here through an established dealer network, including listings from resellers like Zenith Hub and a dedicated “Global, Sebang & Rocket Batteries Philippines” storefront. If you need a starter battery for your car, Rocket is a real option with real local availability.
None of that is a home solar battery. Sebang’s automotive line is maintenance-free calcium-technology lead-acid, built for cranking amps and a roughly 15-month private-use warranty, not for the deep, repeated discharge cycles a solar storage battery needs to survive for a decade.
A separate company, confusingly, also used the “Rocket” name
Searching Rocket batteries in the Philippines also surfaces EnerRocket, a Makati-based backup power company operating as Global Power Battery Solutions, Inc., which says it was “previously known as Rocket Batteries.” This is not the Sebang-made Rocket brand — it’s an unrelated company that once used a similar name and now sells its own lead-acid UPS and backup batteries under the EnerRocket label. Worth knowing so you don’t confuse the two when a supplier says “Rocket” and means either one.
Does Sebang even make a home LiFePO4 battery?
Sebang has begun moving into lithium energy storage, but at grid scale: in 2026 it committed $66 million to a US subsidiary, Sebang Lithium Battery America, supplying battery modules for LG Energy Solution’s utility-scale ESS products. We found no residential LiFePO4 product under the Rocket or Sebang name, and certainly no Philippine channel for one. If that product line exists for homes, it hasn’t reached this market.
What this means for a homeowner
If an installer offers you a “Rocket” battery for solar storage, ask exactly what product it is.
