Deye Battery Review (Philippines): The Inverter Brand's LiFePO4 Line
Deye is best known in the Philippines for its hybrid inverters, but it also builds its own LiFePO4 battery line. The battery itself looks competitive on paper — the issue is that it rides on the same fragmented, no-single-distributor sales channel as the inverter, with even less local track record.
Lineup and specs
Deye’s low-voltage residential line centers on the SE-G5.1 (and SE-G5.1 Pro-B), a 51.2V/100Ah module rated at 5.12 kWh nominal capacity, stackable in parallel and built around LiFePO4 chemistry with an integrated BMS. Deye also sells a high-voltage BOS series (BOS-A, BOS-W, BOS-G, BOS-B) aimed at larger stacked systems, with cycle life rated at 6,000+ cycles at roughly 90% depth of discharge. That puts Deye’s cycle and DoD figures in the same range as established names like Pylontech and BYD — it’s not a weaker chemistry, just a newer entrant to the battery side of the business specifically.
Warranty
Deye’s own datasheets for the SE-G5.1 Pro-B and BOS-G series list a 10-year warranty, in line with what most LiFePO4 competitors now offer. As with the inverter, that warranty is only as good as who’s backing your specific purchase — Deye’s terms note that buying through an unauthorized reseller can complicate a claim, so get the warranty document and RMA process in writing from whoever sells it to you.
Local availability
This is where the Deye battery diverges from the inverter’s already-mixed picture. The inverter has real installed volume in the Philippines through importers like LakaSolar and Reflections Solar Solutions. The battery is sold through some of the same channels — it turns up as “Deye Lithium Battery” listings on Lazada, and importers who carry the inverter line also list battery SKUs — but we couldn’t confirm a single authorized Philippine distributor for the Deye battery specifically, or find evidence of the installed base the inverter has.
