MPP Solar is a Taiwanese maker of off-grid inverter-chargers with a genuine following in the global DIY solar community — there’s even an open-source Python library built specifically to talk to its units. That community goodwill doesn’t translate into strong local buyer protection, though: the warranty is short and we couldn’t confirm a dedicated Philippine distributor.
Lineup and specs
MPP Solar’s core off-grid range includes the PIP-LV series (12V/24V, lower-power, entry-level), the PIP-MS/MSX series (48V, built-in MPPT solar charging up to 80A, wide 90-280VAC input range), and the newer LVX series (split-phase, stackable up to 9 units, built-in MPPT up to 120A with some models rated for PV input up to 450V).
