Lineup and specs
The MultiPlus is a single-AC-input inverter/charger, sized from 800VA up to 5kVA, combining a pure sine wave inverter, an adaptive battery charger, and a fast AC transfer switch in one unit. MultiPlus-II is the updated version of the same idea. The Quattro steps up to dual AC inputs (useful for switching between grid and generator, or for split-phase output) and scales from 3kVA up to 10kVA per unit, with multiple units stackable for higher power or three-phase configurations. A signature Victron feature across the range is PowerAssist, which lets the unit supplement a limited AC source (a small generator or thin grid connection) with battery power instead of tripping a breaker, and VE.Bus networking that lets multiple units and other Victron gear share data and act as one system.
Warranty
Victron’s standard warranty on its inverter/charger range is 5 years, which is above the industry norm and backed by a large global dealer network for parts and service.
Local availability
PhilSolar is Victron Energy’s exclusive Philippine distributor for its off-grid solar systems, including the MultiPlus and Quattro range — the same distributor behind the charge controller side of the business. That’s a meaningful advantage over most brands in this bracket: one accountable local office rather than a scattered reseller network.
Price
We found no published Philippine price list for MultiPlus or Quattro units. Unlike a grid-tied hybrid inverter, these are sold as components of a battery/ESS build, so pricing scales with kVA size, battery capacity, and how many units you stack — the per-kW hybrid-inverter price anchors used elsewhere on this site don’t map cleanly onto a Victron off-grid build. As a rough sense of tier, expect Victron inverter-chargers to sit at or above the premium end of the hybrid-inverter band (roughly ₱75,000-₱120,000 for a comparable 5kW-class unit) once you’re pricing a full system — but get an itemized quote from PhilSolar rather than budgeting off that number.
Where it falls short
Cost is the headline downside — Victron is a premium product, and a MultiPlus or Quattro-based system costs meaningfully more than an equivalent hybrid inverter from Deye, Growatt, or GoodWe. It’s also not a plug-and-play purchase: getting the most out of PowerAssist, VE.Bus networking, and programmable settings takes some electrical and software familiarity, and accessories like the VE.Direct-to-USB cable or an external CT sensor aren’t always bundled in.
