Anern Inverter Review (Philippines): An Official Lazada Store, No Local Distributor

Anern (Guangzhou Anern Energy Technology Co., Ltd.) started out making solar street lights, then expanded into hybrid and off-grid inverters, lithium batteries and solar panels. The company says it has 17 years of experience, a 30,000 square-metre production base in Guangzhou, and an R&D team of more than 100 people. None of that is unusual for a mid-size Chinese solar manufacturer. What sets Anern apart from most of the unverified brands we check is that it runs its own official storefront on Lazada Philippines — a channel we could actually open and confirm, rather than a “where to buy” page that lists the Philippines in a country dropdown.

The channel: an official Lazada PH store, not a distributor

The Anern Energy Philippines Official Online Store on Lazada (lazada.com.ph/shop/anern-energy/) is a real, active storefront, registered to the Philippines region with pricing in PHP. That is worth something: it means Anern itself, not a reseller improvising a listing, is the seller of record for whatever you buy there.

It is not, however, the same thing as what Hoymiles built with Brills Marketing Corporation or what SAJ has started with a named Davao distributor. There is no announced Philippine distributor, no local office, no installer training program we could find, and no local service center. If an Anern inverter fails in year four, your claim path runs through Lazada’s marketplace return process and Anern’s own customer service in China, not a Philippine technician who answers a landline.

Lineup and specs

Anern’s inverter range spans off-grid, off-grid parallel, split-phase, IP65 hybrid, low-frequency, single-phase, commercial and pure sine wave models, plus dedicated MPPT charge controllers. The residential-scale line most relevant to a Philippine home is the AN-SCI-EVO series (SCI-EVO-4200 and SCI-EVO-6200), an off-grid hybrid inverter with specs we verified directly from Anern’s own datasheet:

Spec SCI-EVO-4200 SCI-EVO-6200
Rated power 4200W 6200W
Max PV input power 6200W 6500W
MPPT voltage range 60-450VDC 60-450VDC
Max charge current 120A 120A
Weight 9 kg 10 kg

The unit can start and run without a battery connected, includes a built-in MPPT solar controller, and offers WiFi monitoring through a mobile app. Anern states the line carries ISO9001, CE, RoHS and TUV certifications. We did not find a published warranty term for this series on Anern’s own site, and we are not going to guess one — ask the seller in writing before you buy, and get the term itself, not a vague “manufacturer warranty” promise.

For how this compares against other inverter architectures, see our inverter types guide and what is a hybrid inverter.

What Anern costs in the Philippines

Anern inverters sit in the budget band, similarly priced to other marketplace-sold Chinese hybrid units like SRNE and PowMr. Our hybrid inverter price guide has the general bands by system size; because Lazada pricing shifts by promotion and voucher, we are not publishing a single peso figure here. Check the store listing directly and compare the total against a mid-tier brand with a wider Philippine installed base, such as Growatt or Deye, on peso per watt.

Where it falls short

  • No local distributor or installer network. The Lazada store is real, but it is Anern selling directly into a marketplace, not a Philippine company standing behind the product.
  • No confirmed warranty term for the residential inverter line on Anern’s own materials.
  • No local technical support. If a crew has never wired an Anern unit before, you are the test case.
  • Started as a lighting company. Inverters are a newer part of the catalogue than for a dedicated inverter manufacturer.

Who it’s best for

A budget-conscious buyer who wants a single, traceable seller (the manufacturer itself, via Lazada) rather than an unnamed third-party reseller, and who is comfortable that any warranty claim runs through a marketplace process rather than a local office. That is a genuinely better position than buying a brand with no verifiable Philippine channel at all — see our OSDA Solar review for what that looks like.

For a grid-tied home where you want a local installer who has wired the brand before and a distributor who trains crews, Hoymiles, Growatt or Deye are the safer default. Ask your installer directly whether they have handled an Anern unit before agreeing to one. See how to choose a solar installer for the questions worth asking either way.
