SAJ Inverter Review (Philippines): A Named Davao Partner, Still Early

SAJ (Guangzhou Sanjing Electric Co., Ltd., trading as SAJ Electric) is a Chinese inverter and energy-storage manufacturer founded in 2005, with a significant global footprint — the company states it holds the No. 1 market share in Brazil and is expanding across Europe. For years it had no confirmed foothold in the Philippines. That changed in 2025, and it is the reason this brand gets a full review instead of the shorter “no channel found” treatment.

The channel: Bossway Solar Corporation, Davao City

At SNEC 2025, the major Shanghai PV trade show held June 11-13, SAJ publicly announced strategic partnership agreements to expand into Southeast Asia. Industry coverage of the event names the specific partners: a storage deal with Australia’s OSW, an agreement with Brightfield Trading in Malaysia, and an agreement with Bossway Solar (Philippines), described as part of SAJ’s plan “to scale deployment in the Asia-Pacific region.”

Bossway Solar Corporation is a real, operating solar company based in Sasa, Davao City — it has a public business presence and has posted footage of commercial solar installations in Davao. That makes SAJ’s Philippine channel a named company you can actually verify exists, which is more than most brands on this list can claim.

One more caveat worth stating plainly: the partnership is reported in trade coverage of the Shanghai show, and we could not find it announced on SAJ’s own Philippine-facing pages, in any Philippine distributor directory, or by Bossway itself. A separate check of two major Philippine inverter distributors, IAN Solar and JapanSolar, found neither carrying SAJ. Treat the channel as real but narrow and recent, not as established national distribution.

Be precise about what this does and doesn’t confirm, though. The public announcement describes a strategic agreement “to scale deployment,” which reads as an early-stage regional partnership rather than a mature, nationwide distributor network with the kind of launch event and installer training program Hoymiles ran with Brills Marketing Corporation. Bossway Solar is Davao-based; if you’re buying in Luzon or the Visayas, ask directly whether SAJ units and parts are actually stocked and serviced in your region, or whether you’d be shipping a warranty claim to Mindanao. That regional concentration is the main reason this review sits below Hoymiles despite both brands being recent Philippine entries with a real, named local partner behind them.

Lineup

SAJ’s residential range centers on the H2 hybrid inverter series, including an H2 LV variant compatible with both LiFePO4 and lead-acid batteries, an H2 LV split-phase variant that can integrate diesel-generator backup, and an H2 HV split-phase variant built for the higher-voltage architecture common in North America. The company also showed an updated AI Saving 2.0 energy management system at SNEC 2025 — load and generation forecasting, electricity-price prediction, and coordination between generation, storage and consumption — plus a residential storage product line branded eleX. None of SAJ’s public materials we reviewed state a specific warranty term in years for the residential H2 line; get that in writing from Bossway Solar before you commit.

What SAJ costs in the Philippines

We have no verifiable Philippine pricing for SAJ specifically — the partnership is too new for a stable local price to have settled, and we are not going to publish a number pulled from a global distributor’s list price as though it applied here. Our hybrid inverter price guide has the general bands by system size; get a written quote from Bossway Solar and compare it against that band and against an established brand like Deye or Growatt on peso per watt.

Where it falls short

  • Regional, not national. The confirmed partner is Davao-based; coverage elsewhere in the Philippines is unconfirmed.
  • No stated warranty term for the residential line in the materials we could review.
  • New partnership. The agreement dates to mid-2025, so there isn’t yet a multi-year Philippine track record to point to.
  • Thin independent documentation. Most of what’s verifiable about SAJ in the Philippines traces back to SAJ’s own press coverage of the partnership, not independent local reviews or installer forums.

Who it’s best for

A Davao-area buyer, or someone working with an installer who already sources through Bossway Solar, who wants SAJ’s energy-management features and is comfortable being an early adopter of a new regional partnership. For anyone outside Mindanao, or anyone who wants a brand with a multi-year Philippine installed base and installer familiarity nationwide, Deye, Growatt or Solis remain the safer default. Ask any installer quoting SAJ whether they’ve sourced through Bossway Solar directly, and confirm the warranty terms in writing — see how to choose a solar installer.
